Meet our Teacher

Xiaowu's roots trace back to South China, where different Chinese cuisine styles converge. Here, she grew up in the flavorful environment of her family's restaurant and soaked up all the culinary know-how. In her 20s, she jetted off to Beijing, spending seven years mastering the art of Taichi and teaching martial arts and Chinese.

But when she moved with her family to Berlin in 2015, something was missing—those mouthwatering tastes of home.

To fill the void, Xiaowu and her husband dove headfirst into the food scene, starting with pop-up gigs. Soon, they were dishing out authentic Sichuan burnin’ noodles at their very own spot in Neukölln. Not content with just serving up goodness, Xiaowu also started teaching dumpling classes in Berlin, sharing her love for Chinese cuisine with fellow food enthusiasts.

You will learn the entire process from making dough and filling, wrapping and cooking the dumplings. Thereby, we make sure to teach the fundamental principles of how the recipes work so you will be well equipped to make your own variation.

We will also explain how to pair and mix your sauce so you can create your personal favorite dipping sauce.

At the end we gather to a dumpling feast to taste your own creations.

You also have the possibility to freeze your dumplings to take them home with you.
